Outdoor Life names SteriPEN Classic Editors Choice for Water Purifiers

Outdoor Life Editors Choice - SteriPEN Classic

Outdoor Life recently gear tested 5 of the leading water purification devices.

The Editor’s Choice is the SteriPEN Classic UV water purifier.

The gear review included:

Platypus Gravity Works
Katadyn Hiker Pro
MSR Miniworks
SteriPEN Classic with Pre-Filter

Outdoor Life evaluated each system against output time, ease of use and durability in settings ranging from a clear mountain stream to a filthy beaver pond. Devices were also used with known contaminated water and all technologies were evaluated for effectiveness by the Colorado Safe Drinking Water Laboratories.

Outdoor Life emphasized that SteriPEN was the only device to destroy viruses in addition to bacteria and protozoa.
