SteriPEN safe drinking water anywhere
AT backpacker using SteriPEN

“I found the SteriPEN’s speed and efficiency welcome, especially when purifying several bottles at a time. The device is faster than pump filters for large groups … and quicker than chemical treatment even if you’re solo…”

~ Dennis Lewon,

Microbiological Testing

Many claims are made in water treatment business. Many are unsubstantiated. Our recommendation is that if you don’t see microbiological testing on a specific chemical or device, don’t trust their claims. Protect yourself by demanding to see the proof.

At HYDRO-PHOTON we believe that stringent testing under adverse conditions is essential to the development of safe and reliable products. Therefore, we have conducted a wide range of testing at several certified independent laboratories and test facilities including the University of Arizona, the University of Maine, the Oregon Health Sciences University and at A & L Laboratories. This testing proves that SteriPEN exceeds the standard set forth in the U.S. EPA Guide Standard and Protocol for Testing Microbiological Water Purifiers.

SteriPEN’s ultraviolet light is proven to destroy in excess of 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.99% of viruses and 99.9% protozoa. To examine the full text of the test reports click on links below.
