The Traveler mini with its sleek, compact design is the smallest, lightest and easiest to pack SteriPEN for travel. Weighing just 103 grams/3.6 oz., the Traveler mini fits neatly into your checked luggage, carry-on or briefcase. It might be smaller, but you still get all the speed, power and effectiveness of larger SteriPENs. The Traveler mini purifies a half-liter of water in 48 seconds, just like the bigger models – but all in a smaller, lighter device. The Traveler mini uses 2 CR123 disposable batteries (not included). As a reminder, battery quality varies greatly by brand. We recommend using only well-known brand name Lithium batteries. Alkaline batteries of any kind are not recommended.

We've been using steri-pens for years and they've never failed us even is 3rd world countries and using it in water straight out of beaver ponds. We love this one because it's small and lightweight, just right for lightweight backpacking and bike touring.
